Meg Bragg - Its Okay to Cry

It’s Okay to Cry is a children’s book inspired by John Yates, a survivor and hero of the September 11th attack on the Pentagon. Meg grew up across the street from John’s wife Ellen—and they have remained friends for 30 years.

A touching tribute, the book recounts the events of 9/11, bringing them to a child’s level of understanding. John Yates, a Department of the Army employee at the Pentagon who was badly injured in the attack, helped lead many people to safety by forming a human chain. He has since been awarded the civilian version of the Purple Heart. It’s Okay to Cry is a story of compassion, courage and hope.
